Our verdict
A proper dog beach — no seasonal ban, room to run, and a swim on offer. It gets busy in summer, but there's enough beach to spread out.
The shingle-and-sand beach itself at Ringstead Bay, dog-friendly all year round, with a seasonal café and the National Trust car park a short walk up the hill.
