Culver Cliff

Our verdict

Minehead's instant escape hatch — two minutes from the harbour fish and chips you're in proper coastal woodland with the town gone. Loop up onto North Hill for views or keep flat along the shore path; either way it beats the promenade.

The wooded toe of North Hill where it drops to the sea past Minehead harbour, laced with zig-zag Victorian paths and a shoreline promenade towards Greenaleigh. Holm oaks, rock pools below, and the start of the South West Coast Path a few steps away.

Wooded cliff walk between Minehead harbour and the open coast. Cliff edges and drops — leads on near the top paths.
