A lovely spot for a picnic among the blossom, but dogs are not permitted on this one — a rare exception worth knowing before you set off.
A one-hectare Dorset Wildlife Trust reserve on the edge of Powerstock, a remnant of the cider apple orchards that once ringed the village. Old and decaying trees sit alongside new ones planted with the local school, with marsh marigold and ragged robin in the damp ground near the stream.
