Yatesbury Beeches

Our verdict

A short, pleasant stop rather than a destination — good for a quick stretch of the legs if you're passing through the Yatesbury/Cherhill area on the way to somewhere bigger.

An avenue of mature beech trees near the small village of Yatesbury, six miles east of Calne, covering just over three-and-a-half hectares of broadleaved woodland with public access on foot.

Woodland Trust wood — free to visit on foot, open every day.
