Our verdict
No formal path network of its own, but the location close to Avebury and Fyfield Down means it's easy to fold into a longer downland walk in the area rather than visit alone.
Two adjoining CRoW parcels of open downland barely 200 metres apart, above the villages of Winterbourne Monkton and Berwick Bassett on the northern edge of the Marlborough Downs, within a couple of miles of Avebury.
