Briary Wood

Our verdict

Modest and largely unremarkable on its own, but the footpath through it makes it an easy, genuine add-on to a longer walk around Box or Middlehill rather than a destination in itself.

A small CRoW-designated wood near Middlehill, on the western fringe of Box parish, with a public footpath running through it — confirmed by more than one local account of walking the approach and the path inside.

Open access land — you can roam freely on foot.
