Bishop's Lydeard Woodland Walk

Our verdict

A village leg-stretch, no more, no less — twenty minutes with the dog before the school run, or a warm-down after a day on the Quantocks. If you've come off the steam train with an hour to kill, it's the pleasant option.

A planted green corridor looping the edge of Bishops Lydeard, young native trees and mown paths with the Quantocks rising ahead of you. Handy from the West Somerset Railway station.

A short community woodland walk on the edge of the village, open at all times.
