The best thing in Yeovil, and locals know it — expect buggies and ice cream at the bottom end. Push up the valley past the last pond and the crowds thin to nothing while the woods get properly good.
Yeovil's green gorge — spring-fed pools, cascades and boardwalks under a steep wooded valley side, running from the town centre up to open pasture. Kingfishers on the ponds, and a café where the springs rise.
