Our verdict
Clevedon does small wooded hills well, and this is the town-crowd-free one. Painters were sketching this view in the 1840s; you can have it today with only dog walkers for company, then drop to Poets' Walk for the sea finale.
The trees on Strawberry Hill above Clevedon's Victorian streets, part of the wooded ridge that runs towards Court Hill — glimpses of All Saints' spire through the canopy and the Severn estuary grey-gold beyond the rooftops.
Wooded hillside above Clevedon, open at all times.
