An ancient wood clawing its way back from the conifers, and you can watch the recovery happening. Flat, easy, honest mud, and parking for three cars means you'll likely have it to yourself.
An ancient woodland site on the gentle north slope of the Poldens, planted over with conifers in the 1960s and now being slowly won back — ash, oak and field maple pushing through the remaining larch and spruce. A central ride runs the length, with a circular route along the northern edge.
