Effectively the same wood as Eight Acre Coppice under its formal reserve status — a good small, everyday walk for Wool residents rather than somewhere to make a special trip for. Parking and dog rules are TBC.
The Local Nature Reserve designation covering Eight Acre Coppice and its immediate surroundings on the southern edge of Wool — mixed hazel coppice and oak standards with bracken on the acid northern ground and damper, more alkaline pockets elsewhere with primrose and bluebell.
